Neil Alden Armstrong (August 5, 1930 – August 25, 2012) was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the Moon. We as a grateful nation honor his life and the achievements of those who made human space exploration and our current way of life possible. Therefore, we petition our government to designate the first full moon of August as "Neil Armstrong Day," in perpetuity.
