During President Obama's State of the Union address he said, “Today, the discoveries taking place in our federally financed labs and universities could lead to new treatments that kill cancer cells but leave healthy ones untouched.”
We have not yet seen such breakthroughs, and every day those federally funded labs are losing their funding money due to detrimental cuts. We urge to president to stop these cuts and to further increase the funding given to these institutions. Our healthy future and the hope for a world without cancer depends upon it.
