Make further steps towards absolute peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Created by R.S. on November 29, 2012

As seen by the recent attacks between Israel and the Gaza Strip, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is shown to be "alive and well" and is once again brought to the forefront of our minds, as our government has not taken recent action to work towards absolute peace in the region. Therefore, United States citizens should be in favor of vying for peace in this conflict as the conflict harms the United States economically and militarily, and is a violation of United Nations Resolution 242 and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Through these, it can be seen that it is then the United States government's duty to attempt negotiations to work towards permanent peace rather than merely a series of cease-fires.
