Currently Gambling Addiction is not recognized widely through the courts of law like Alcohol and Drug addictions. There are treatments for those but not for Gambling Addiction.
Researches show that Gambling Addiction is even worse. And it's harder to give up.
For those crimes that commit that are related to Alcohol and Drug addictions get lighter sentences but not Gambling Addiction. Courts don't believe it's related.
Make Gambling Addiction known and recognized.
