The Grateful Dead is an American institution. An iconic facet of our culture, like the moon landing, or Smokey the Bear.
Now this institution will be relegated to the annals of recorded music, as the Grateful Dead play three final shows at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Millions of people have tried to procure tickets. There is simply not enough concert to accommodate the vast number of American citizens who wish to witness this moment in history.
We ask that the President do whatever may be within his power to see that the Grateful Dead play more that just three shows. Let this moment in American history be not contained within a mere weekend!
This nation, our freedoms... for what have we struggled? Heretofore across the eons, let it be known, America failed not in seeing the Dead.
