Currently, the "Guaranteed" VA Home Loan is subject to private lender approval. It is, unfortunately, extremely difficult for a veteran to take advantage of this home loan benefit due to home loan qualifications becoming much more strict.
Our veterans deserve, if nothing else, a home of their own after faithfully serving their country. It is a shame to see so many veterans in my area denied home loans because of their credit.
The VA Home Loan program needs to be reformed to guarantee any veteran, regardless of past credit, to receive a government-backed loan to purchase a home of their own.
