Make the Gun Control issue one for the American people to decide on, and not Congress.

Created by E.H. on April 17, 2013

The American people are trying to make it clear that they want tighter gun laws. But the NRA doesn't seem to be listening to them, even if that includes its own members. So let's ask the President to make this issue one for the people. Ask him to try to make this issue an official vote for the American people, and let us decide on whether or not we want tighter gun laws to protect our children. Why should you sign this? Even though Congress is working on laws to strengthen gun laws, the NRA still has a strong influence on Capitol Hill. So let's weaken that influence by asking the President to circumvent Congress and let the American people decide whether or not they want tighter laws. I think we all want to be able to reassure our children that they won't have to worry about this.
