As the 2nd Amendment applies to the entirety of the United States, gun laws based on that amendment should be consistent and equal throughout the nation. The law should apply to all jurisdictions equally, without state or local interpretations, subtractions or additions. Certain rights, like those specifically granted by the Constitution, are not for local politicians to decide how, or IF, they will implement. The determination of whether an individual is qualified to keep and bear arms should be decided by the individual's mental qualities and past record of responsible activities, not whether they have crossed an invisible line on a map. The Constitution applies to all of us, equally. Rights granted to us by that document should be applied to all of us, equally.
