Animal cruelty should come with stiffer penalties than what is used now. Many people who are charged with animal abuse only recieve fines and rarely see jail time. This is terrible and sets bad examples. If people would recieve tougher penalties for this crime, maybe people would realize that animals should be treated with kindness and compassion. Any crimes committed against endangered animals should be severe. We should work to preserve these animals so our children can enjoy them in the future.
