Make High-Pressure, High-Volume, Horizontal, Slickwater Hydrofracturing Illegal /Millions of Gallons Water Used Per Well

Created by L.A. on January 22, 2013

The 5 year old experimental Hydrofracturing Method now being employed in the United Sates for the harvesting of natural gas is NOT SUSTAINABLE. Using millions of gallons of water and thousands of pounds of toxic chemicals and sand to force natural gas out of shale is an incredible waste of our drinking water and endangers human health.

This industry must shut down because it is extremely dangerous. Research shows it has caused desertification in Wyoming as well as methane migration water pollution in Colorado, Texas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.

The oil and gas industry must be directed to invest all the subsidies it has received for years from the federal government in Solar, Sustainable Biofuels, and Wind energy development.
