Make higher education more affordable and direct more college funds to professor salaries (now much less than teachers)

Those with Phd's currently make LESS than pre-school teachers. With baby-boomer professors refusing to retire, colleges elect to hire PhDs as adjuncts or give them
visiting status which allows universities to have equally qualified professors employed to teach many more students without any benefits or job protection. Pre-school teachers and even food servers at McDonald's make more than adjuncts with PhDs.
The cost of higher ed is drowning families into more debt than they can afford - robbing them of retirement, health care, etc., in order to give their children a higher education, of which the cost does not go to the person instructing their children, but to administrators and sports programs.
