With increasing globalization, it is critical that the American workforce needs to be educated as much as possible to compete with other countries. With that being said, many workers and businesses don't have the time, and in most cases, the money, to educate themselves or their workforce. Making higher education a right where cost isn't a factor would mean that any worker, employed or unemployed, with the dedication and drive to better him or herself has a chance at a better life.
Keeping costs low is also important to taxpayers. Making an online, national school for higher education which tracks real time scholastic achievement is important. It would link up unemployed workers who have the knowledge for a certain job to employers in need of qualified workers.
