This petition is for the recognition of Hispanic/Latinos in the United States. Currently the US Census Bureau does not recognize the Hispanic/Latin race which is totally absurd, and not to mention offensive, and oppressive. Hispanic/Latinos come from many different countries, and have very unique cultures, and traditions, and under one umbrella we recognize each other to be of Latino/Hispanic race, so why doesn't America?
This petition is to get the US Census Bureau to recognize the race as legit, and count us a separate race, and not include us under White/Black as our first race. The first race should be Hispanic/Latino, and second race should be Mestizo, Mulatto, etc, or country of origin, or ancestry.
