Horses begin their life at Auctions as healthy animals. Horse Auctions do not feed or water the horses in their care for days. The horses are kept in over crowded pens, which do not allow them to move or lay down. Because horses are penned with other horses they do not know, they get kicked and bitten by other horses in the pen. As a result of their inhumane treatment, they get sick and die. Auctions do not seek veterinary care for their sick horses.
As a result they have an agonizing death. Many of these horses get so starved that they look like skeltons. They fall down to die and are trampled by other horses. Horse Auctions must be held responsible for the humane treatment of these animals.
