make HPV vaccines mandatory for boys and girls, thereby protecting individuals from HPV and cervical cancer.

Created by H.L. on January 23, 2013

HPV, Human Papillomavirus, is a sexually transmitted disease that can often lead to cervical cancer. Fortunately, there is an FDA approved vaccine for HPV that is extremely low risk and highly successful at preventing HPV 16 and 18, the two most common forms of the virus. Unfortunately, since the vaccine is not mandatory, there is very little education about it and even many pediatricians forget to suggest the vaccine and anyone without the vaccine is at risk.
