Make illegal any form of protest or demonstration within reasonable distance of a funeral ceremony.

Created by M.K. on December 16, 2012

In response to the slew of funeral protests held by the hate group, "The Westboro Baptist Church" protesting the funerals of military members, civilians, and even children, we the people would like to request federal protection of funeral services from any form of protest.

Over the past number of years, many funerals have been picketed by this hate group and have been protected as a freedom of speech and expression. However, their freedom of speech should not come at the cost of the personal freedom of those affected by such hateful acts.

Therefore, we request that any form of protest held in response to a funeral or memorial service must be within reasonable distance of any such event and cannot interfere with the service.
