The continued appointments of various industry lobbyists to high ranking government positions undermines the integrity of the nation as a whole, and these lobbyists do not in any way take the role of public servant to heart, not serving the American public , instead acting on what their past (and true) allegiances pay them to do. Lobbyists alone represent an acquiescing of corruption. Appointing these corruption artists to government positions quite literally corrupts the government, as government exists only in the people that comprise it.
