Politicians and aspiring politicians have started to twist facts or spin information in order to win elections without having to face any consequences for their actions.
Intentionally lying to the public about your opponent or yourself should be a felony offense. Currently convicted felons cannot run for public office. This will ensure that speeches are not full of speculation or self bias. This will also prevent those that are charged will not be eligible to run for public office again.
Nothing should be release to the public without being properly verified independently and proven to be true.
