Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a severely painful, debilitating condition with no known cure, cause, or effective medical/surgical treatment. It's associated with high rates of disability, depression, and suicide, yet little attention has been given to this disease. Thousands of people suffer with horrible pain everyday, and it is listed as a qualifying condition under the SSDI guidelines. However, despite the repeated failure rates in pain management associated with the disease, Illinois has not approved it as a qualifying condition for the use of medical marijuana. We need this changed immediately. You may visit www.hs-foundation.org for more information on this awful disease. Illinois needs to approve this as a qualifying condition for medical marijuana now.
