We believe that tax rates on income should be 25% across the board regardless of the way that income was earned. There are people in poverty throughout the nation, many put there because of taxation policy. By making the tax rate across all types of income equal the tax code will no longer benefit a specific group of people over another. Not only is the current system that tilts in favor of those with deep pockets unfair, but it is causing problems like poverty and low levels of education to persist. With the number of people in poverty at an all-time high, now is not the time to cut funding for education, Public Housing, or Food Stamps.
