Industrial Hemp has been lumped together with it's THC rich relative, marijuana, for far too long. It is a very easy and diverse crop which needs no fertilizer, insecticide, and little irrigation. It would rejuvinate dead and dying soil and can be harvested every 120 days. Acre for acre Industrial Hemp soaks up more CO2 than trees. It can be processed into cloth, paper, fuel, building materials, cooking oil, and you can eat the seeds. Industrial Hemp would help many Third World countries grow thier ecomonies. It would create a new industry in the United States creating 1000s of new jobs and small businesses. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are written on paper made from Hemp. It was legal to grow for over 100 years in this country.
