In our society when a couple decides to grow a family and is unable to, their choices are limited due to financial handcuffs. If you choose to use In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) this could cost upwards of $20K per try and there are no guarantees that this would work. Adoption in the United States can cost over $30K and you are on a waiting list for five or more years. How is anyone with a clinical medical condition that prevents said person from having a child, considered a lifestyle choice? A male with cancer, or a woman with blocked fallopian tubes have to use IVF as a treatment in order to start a family. Why are we not requiring of the insurance companies nationwide to cover the prescriptions needed or the procedures themselves? This is not a voluntary choice any human would make!
