Create a law making it a capital offense for any person running in an election for a federal office to accept or provide any donations within six month of the election and one year after leaving office. This will include donations from all lobbyists.
Campaign donations, free trips, free lunches etc. amount to nothing more than bribery and have almost destroyed our country. Those providing and those accepting bribes should be treated as a threat to how our government is suppose to operate.
Lobbyists or anyone else for that matter can still access our lawmakers but the bribes will become a criminal offense.
