make it a crime for elected officials to willfully mislead the American people.

Created by M.N. on January 21, 2016

Elected officials, or persons running for elected office, have an obligation to be honest in all dealings with their constituents. If an elected official purposefully lies to, misleads or seeks to deceive the American people, that person should be removed from office immediately and prohibited from running for any other public office. This is one of the main reasons why the American people are frightfully misinformed when compared to other countries, and it also poses a threat to the health of our democracy.
