Make it easier for citizens to defend out-of-state traffic convictions

Created by J.N. on June 15, 2012

Certain jurisdictions in this country practice predatory prosecution for traffic violations against out-of-state drivers, knowing that defendants are less likely to show up in court. Easy money for the prosecuting party, countless, long-lasting repercussions for the defendants.

Instead, protections should be made available to require courts to allow court appearances and trials remotely through courts local to defendants, through the use of teleconferencing technology.
