It is nearly impossible to obtain a carry permit in New Jersey. With that ability, there will be less crimes occurring because more people will be able to protect themselves against robberies, assault, or even during times of chaos and distress like the recent hurricane New Jersey had. Texas last year had 581 murders by handguns and New Jersey had 216. New Jersey had nearly half the amount as Texas did and New Jersey is only 1/46 the size of Texas. If more people were able to carry a firearm less crime would occur.
