Make it easier for restaurants and grocery stores to donate unused food.

Created by I.W. on May 31, 2014

40-50% of all food harvested in America goes uneaten. even though 1 in 6 Americans has a hard time keeping food on the table. The government wastes billions of dollars trying to find a way to get rid of all this unused food instead of finding a way for it to get eaten. A huge reason for this is that restaurants and grocery stores are unable to donate food to shelters and other places to help solve the problem. With regulations and a policy stating you cannot sue the store or restaurant if you get sick off of their food would make stores able to donate unused and uneaten food and would help reduce waste, the federal deficit, and hunger in America.
