Law enforcement officers are humans first and foremost. Some of them entered their chosen field for the right reasons, and others, not so much. We never know which kind we will encounter when we are stopped or pulled over. But we do know two things: The ability to use lethal force is a huge responsibility, and any human being will handle a situation differently if they know they are being recorded. This is why we want to introduce "Scott's Law." We believe every law enforcement officer in the country should be required to wear a body camera in order to carry a firearm. It is worth it to save lives and reduce the need for costly federal investigations. We need this. If the trust between police and citizens is lost, this country will become a more dangerous place for police and citizens.
