Make it a federal law for child sex offenders to have license plates that stand out. This way wherever they are we know.

Created by R.S. on June 28, 2013

Sex offenders already have post cards sent to their neighbors so they know where they live. However, what is to protect people that don't live in their neighborhood? Also, how many of them actually would attempt to attack a child with them knowing who they are? This small change would allow parents and children to know that when they see the license plate there is an offender near, for example: a park, grocery store, malls, amusement park, etc. It will also let officers know that they are in restricted areas where there are a lot of children like school zones or play areas, where chances are they should not be anyways. I believe that over time this may discourage the acts as well since everyone, everywhere, will know who the offenders are. Children can also see them on the street and know!
