The Pledge of Allegiance is a solemn pledge to our Republic, "under God, indivisible..." One whopublicly recites this pledge while actively promoting secession of a state, for example, by signing a petition demending secession, breaks this solemn pledge. Such seditious conduct should be a federal misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $2,500 for each offense.
