This petition is to make it illegal at a federal level for any person to knowingly harm or kill and unborn child that another woman is carrying. This does not change any abortion laws that do or don't exist. This is just to make it an offense for someone who is not the mother to take the life of an unborn child. Abortion clinics are exempt.
A couple weeks ago a woman in Boulder, Colorado cut a baby out of a woman's uterus causing the baby to die and because Colorado has no laws against it the woman will not be charged with murder. The woman was 8 months pregnant and had every intention of keeping the baby. To that poor mother her unborn baby was already her child. Now this evil woman gets out of a serious charge just because of a law that Colorado doesn't have.
