Enact legislation to make it a federal offense to spread media or broadcast public statements denying that climate change is real or that it is caused by humans. Additionally, dissolve immediately any corporation, non-profit or other organization that produces climate-denialist media with the explicit intent of deceiving the public on the topic or otherwise derailing conversations about how to effectively deal with it. Make the directors and financial backers of such organizations subject to fines and/or imprisonment.
Climate change is real. It is happening now. It will have dire repercussions on our society and our economy if we don't take steps to reverse it and/or mitigate its effects.
