Make it a federal requirement for all welfare recipients to be drug tested and restrict food to life sustaining items.

Make a federal law requiring all welfare recipients to take mandatory drug test to obtain benefits and possible random drug test periodically or at administrations discretion. There should also be restrictions on what can be purchased with food stamps, for an example; steak, lobster, and caviar should be a few of many. I'm not asking to terminate the food stamp program, what I'm asking for is a different approach. We (taxpayers) shouldn't be supporting American's with no ambition that view this service as a career or a lifetime support system rather than a temporary assistance. What I propose it to make the food stamp program similar to the W.I.C program only allowing certain life sustaining foods I.e. fruit, vegetables, and grains to name a few. Americans in need will still be grateful!
