Do not ban guns. Instead make it harder to purchase a gun. Require psychiatric evaluation test for anyone applying to be a gun owner, including veterans. Must be 21 to purchase shot gun, and 25 to purchase hand gun and assault rifles. If a violent crime is committed by someone under age, who ever purchased that gun is responsible and will do jail time. Parents etc. Any one caught with illegal gun will do jail time.
