Advertising companies, especially ones advertising for beauty companies, digitally alter many of their advertisments, creating an image of a human figure that is unattainable by people. These images do not tell consumers that they are altered, creating a false sense of beauty. This can lead to low self esteem and can increase suicide rates, especially for teenagers. I believe that this should be considered false advertising, and the ads should have a label on them, similar to tobacco products, making note of the alterations. This should help keep Americans from comparing themselves to these ads, and from making them feel that they aren't as good looking as they should be.
