Does anyone have a problem with the fact that every out of every first term a president spends in office, more time is spent during the last year of the term campaigning than actually doing the job they were elected (and paid) to do??!?!?! The incumbents track record should speak for itself - if you did a good job you will be re-elected.
Think of all the productivity lost on the local, state, and federal level between the thousands of politicians we elect trying to convince us to elect them again. It's nonsense. If anyone in the private sector wasted that much of their time, they'd be FIRED.
If their performance in office is not enough to earn them re-election, then they didn't do a good job. Period.
