There are currently more than 1000 Americans serving in the Israeli army. Israel is currently in violation of 77 UN resolutions and these troops enforce an illegal occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem. A lot of the times these troops trample on the rights of their fellow Americans, namely Palestinian Americans, by serving in the IDF. There are many Palestinian Americans who have lost land to illegal Israeli settlements. These same settlements are being guarded by their fellow Americans in direct contradiction of American law. This created undue tension here at home and creates a divide between fellow Americans. We call on the American government to make it illegal for Americans to take part in ribs occupying power.
