Make it illegal for any employer or educational institution to inquire into social media memberships.

Created by A.N. on March 02, 2013

Social Media websites such as Facebook, Myspace, Youtube often contain private information such as photos, religious, political or even sexual preference that is usually only to be intended for those you choose to share it with i.e. "Friend Requesting". Why then is the federal government allowing both private and public entities to demand information on the private lives of citizens? Currently many employers and educational institutions around America are asking for information on personal social media accounts and even going as far demanding passwords. This allows the inquirer to view personal information that would normally never be allowed to be asked during an interview. We petition the current administration to end this!
