There is a growing movement in the world to create smaller and more sustainable housing. With the rising cost of energy and the depletion of our natural resources the average sized american home has become unobtainable or unwanted by a growing percentage of Americans.
In many counties and towns across this nation zoning laws are in place to restrict how small a house is allowed to be. Such restrictions are detrimental to the country's economic growth and go against the sustainable path that this nation is heading on.
I am proposing that government entities should not be permitted to create or enforce laws that require a minimum square footage for new dwellings.
