It should be illegal for any news outlet, law enforcement agency or citizen to publish the name of any mass murderer unless that person is on the run. If a school shooter, etc, commits this type of mass killing, there is no need for the public to know the identity and there is no need to allow the shooter to live in infamy. Remove their goal to be remembered and they may simply take themselves out instead of killing others. It should also be illegal to publish their manifestos. The public does not require this information and whatever is left behind by these killers would be for the use of law enforcement agencies only. The public's morbid curiosity should be controlled and the murderer will not be remembered.
