It needs to be a crime for any state or federal employee to lie to the public. That includes elected officials, or anyone else that gets paid with tax payer money or other federal funds for doing their job.
When our government lies to us it makes it impossible for us to trust them. When Law Enforcement Officers lie it can ruin peoples lives by sending innocents to jail and its a waist of time and money.
