Make it illegal for news broadcasts to mislead or lie in their broadcasts.
Fox News & CNN have been lying to the American public numerous times about what they call news. Numerous sites have exposed them but still they go on. Americans both Republican or Democrat are misled about each other and thus a never ending cycle of political bickering goes on.
In Canada they have The Broadcasting Act of 1986 that has been in place for their news broadcasts in short: “A Licensee shall not broadcast…d) false or misleading news.” Should a Licensee be caught committing such an act, they are subject to being heavily penalized and have their license revoked to be on the air.
A properly informed American public about domestic & foreign policies can end unnecessary fighting and political stalemates.
