We, the citizens, do not wish for our candidates the ability to bribe our delegates in any fashion within brokered conventions. Our country was born on the foundations of a democracy and not a plutocracy. In the interest of maintaining the democratic structure originally described in our Constitution, it is important that all voices, no matter the financial income, be heard.
Currently legal, bribing delegates is a wrong which squanders the people's influences on their government's political processes. In the event of a brokered convention, the candidate's battle for delegates will no longer be a question of, "who represents what America wants?" Rather, it will be, "who has the most cash?"
This bribery is unconstitutional and against the interests of all Americans and their government.
