Car dealerships overprice cars intentionally taking advantage of american citizens everyday. I recently bought a new van for $13,000 only to be told later by dealers all over town that my van is really only worth $7000 making it impossible to trade in and get something with a lower monthly payment. These practices force families into bankruptcy when a spouse loses a job, or your rent goes up and you can no longer afford your car. Negative equity is the difference between what you owe, and what your vehicle is worth. Car dealers should be selling vehicles for what they are worth, not ripping consumers off, and passing negative equity on to consumers. Stop these crooked practices!
