Make it illegal for employers to approve/deny employment based on the credit rating of the applicant.

We find it unfair in this time when many families and people need an opportunity to improve their financial situation are denied that ability based on the debts they are trying to resolve by obtaining the better job. It creates a hole people can not dig out from. Whether or not a person is trustworthy is not indicated by their credit rating. A criminal background check and/or drug test should be sufficient enough evidence of a persons ability to perform a job they are applying for, that a credit check is just invasive and unnecessary. We ask that it be made law that employers no longer run these checks.
