This petition is to make selling herbal potpourri or incense that contains synthetic cannabinoids a Federal crime. This substance can be obtained legally and is a thinly veiled sale of synthetic marijuana which much more dangerous to use than organic marijuana. It is available at any local convenience store and can be obtained by any age group. There is documented evidence that this substance is much more potent than the natural substance, and while there have been no studies on human usage, there have been documented cases of death from using it. While is it legal to buy many people may be confused as to the safety of this substance and many parents may not be aware of the effects and usage by their children.
