Our society looks poorly on discrimination, but yet here are these corporations giving scholarships and grants to people because of their race, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and gender. People who do not fit their category, they do not get a chance to this money. Not only is this unfair, it is morally wrong. The definition of discrimination is: "treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit." If this does not change, then the times have not changed. We have the same mind set as the 50's.
