make it illegal for non payment of child support or arrears to be attached to drivers license suspension.

Created by R.G. on February 24, 2014

Currently non payment of child support or any arrears results in drivers license suspension. This is detrimental not only to the non custodial parent whose license is suspended because now they cannot go out there and work and drive to work and back from work but this affects the children involved who were not getting child support to begin with since now the non custodial parent will really not be able to fulfill their financial obligation towards them. Most jobs heavily rely on a license so suspending it due to non payment creates a bigger void than initially existed. There are many non custodial parents who are in a vicious cycle of non payment of child support due to their license being suspended.
