In the past we've heard of many situations where "angry" parents try to bring lawsuits against video game companies, claiming their video game caused their kid to commit an act of violence. This is clearly a parenting failure. ESRB ratings were created to give parents a guide for games they should/shouldn't buy for their kids, yet parents still make the wrong choices, and aren't held responsible.
Too often on video games with an M rating (meaning 17+), such as Call of Duty and Battlefield, you hear the voices of kids well below the age of 17. These kids' parents buy the games for them as holiday gifts, yet will be the first ones to cry no-fault when their child commits a random act of violence, instead of recognizing their own parenting failures. We are our kids' PARENTS, NOT FRIENDS!
