After the recent incident in Hawthorne, California where a dog was shot by a police officer because he was "being attacked" by the innocent dog. This dog's owner was being arrested and he was trying to help his owner by defending him, which is a normal thing for dogs to do for the owners they love. This dog was a roughly 110 pound Rottweiler which is about the same weight (on average) of a 13 year old boy. This dog was INNOCENT. Could you imagine being BARELY touched by a 13 year old boy. That would do NO harm to you and would leave you unharmed. This officer was only being barked at and at one point the dog started BACKING AWAY. The dog was shot at and killed. This sight was terrifying. I believe that it is no different from a person being killed. It is STILL a living thing.
